Good question!
Life happens - emergencies, special occassions, delayed travel, unexpected events - and you may not be able to attend every course session.
Is this a reason to not take the whole class? No way!
One of our pet peeves, as students, was not being able to easily "make-up" a session. So we have put in place several ways for you to easily and effectively catch up on a missed session.
- Every session is recorded. The recordings are made available to registered students so that you can listen to them 24/7, whenever you have access to the Internet. Unlike phone-based recordings (e.g., Audio Podiums), with our recordings you're able to easily jump around in the recording and listen just to the section you want (or the whole thing). As a registered student, you'll have access to all of the course's recordings during the duration of the course plus 1-2 months afterwards.
- Every session has a handout that you'll have access to several days prior to the session. You'll use this handout to follow along, take notes and do work during the session - whether you are in a live session or listening to the recorded version. All registered students get the handout. The handout also includes any instructions and/or worksheets for between-session homework so you'll know what to focus on before the next session.
If, after attending the session and/or listening to the session recording, you find that you still have a "burning question" that didn't get addressed in the class, you're always able to contact the leader to set up a time to talk briefly via phone or converse via email.
Our hope is that these multiple resources will help you feel confident that - even if you miss a session - you won't be missing the value or the content of the session!
With love,
Dorcas & Leslie
