Attracting Clients Authentically

(6 sessions) Provides you with a defined, repeatable process for attracting clients plus information about the critical mindset and skills you'll need for effectively building your client base, without losing your authentic self.

  • Understand the process and mindset of attracting clients
  • Develop the basis for powerful attraction skills
  • Demystify the notion that you have to be extroverted and great at "selling yourself" in order to be effective at getting clients
  • Connect to people with dignity and ease
  • Discover a wide range of activities that have you connecting with potential clients
  • Specific action steps you can take to attract clients
  • Setting specific goals for your attraction efforts

Client Attraction Practicum: Putting Theory into Practice

(8 sessions, required prerequisite is Attracting Clients Authentically)
This dynamic, intimate (6 students max) practicum is designed to catalyze all your learning from the Attracting Clients Authentically course and get into action! In your supportive group, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Design an individualized plan for attracting clients and get into action!
  • Practice the concepts, tools, and techniques
  • Track your actions and results
  • Receive support and feedback from your classmates and leader
  • Receive guidance, mentoring and coaching from the leader
  • Brainstorm and coach with your team to further your learning
  • Observe and participate in demonstrations, direct practice, and feedback on your enrollment and authentic closing skills

The small-group format of this Practicum lends itself to developing a strong accountability network for your client attraction efforts. It's recommended that you take this course when you are really ready to take action and attract clients.

Please note: Since this course is only open to graduates of Attracting Clients Authentically, the course schedule is not posted on the schedule page. The course is offered several times a year and the schedule is determined when sufficient students are registered for the course, through direct communication with the students.

Marketing Success

Claiming Your Niche

(8 sessions) Webster defines a niche as "A position particularly well suited to the person who occupies it." It's time for you to start exploring your own niche possibilities! A well-defined niche provides you with greater focus and clarity on how to spend your energy, time, and money. Through some thought-provoking, fun, and intriguing exercises, this class will stimulate you to unleash your creative out-of-the-box thinking so you can recognize the wealth of niches that are at your fingertips right now!

What's the difference between a niche and a brand?

Be aware - this course has homework! This class will take you into actively exploring, discovering, and potentially selecting a niche that best suits you, including:

  • A "Life Retrospective" to uncover the themes and patterns in your life, work, and other interactions
  • Brainstorming sessions to help weave together those themes and patterns into potential niches
  • Apply various "filters" to help you narrow down to 3-4 best-fit potential niches for you
  • Investigate your most intriguing niche possibilities
  • View your current skills set and experience to determine gaps
  • Explore ways to introduce your potential niches into your business
  • Define next steps to incorporate a niche into your business

Crafting Your Unique Brand

(8 sessions) Recognize, clarify and enhance your personal and professional brand plus learn multiple ways to put your brand to work. What's the difference between a niche and a brand? Topics include:

  • Defining what a personal brand is, and what it's not
  • Using an online survey tool, get feedback from colleagues, friends, clients about how they perceive your personal brand
  • Recognizing elements of your unique brand
  • Developing your "Brand Platform" including key brand words and a brand statement
  • Looking at a variety of ways to put your brand to work in your thoughts, your heart, your business and your life

Your Personalized Marketing Plan

(3 sessions) Develop a marketing strategy and plan that utilizes your uniqueness and strengths, plus effectively increases visibility, credibility, and authentic communication of your unique brand and services. Topics include:

  • What might work best for you? Recognizing how your unique characteristics shape your marketing success
  • Learn the elements of an effective and accessible marketing plan
  • Design your own personalized marketing strategy, plan and timeline
  • Select marketing activities that leverage from your strengths
  • Target specific activities that will move you to greater visibility with ease

(3 sessions) Your marketing materials are often the first impression a potential client has of you. Clearly, you want materials that are professional in appearance and content plus consistent with your personal brand.

At the same time, you don't want to spend tons of time and money on your materials. So how can you develop awesome marketing materials without being sucked into the marketing-materials blackhole of time, money and effort? Come learn how! In this class we'll discuss:

  • The ins and outs of business cards
  • Designing effective brochures and fliers
  • Websites and online brochures
  • When to use fliers and/or information sheets

Taming Your Taxes

(2 sessions) Learn the latest about business taxes and ways to safely minimize your tax expense. We'll cover all kinds of deductions - some of which you may not know about! Plus when to claim income, standard business expenses, depreciation, finding a good tax preparer, and many more tax-topics. This class is only offered seasonally, in March. The general topic of taxes is also covered in Professional Peace of Mind.

Successfully Launching Your Business

(4 sessions) You're not only becoming a coach, you're also becoming a self-employed entrepreneur. Do you know what this really means? This course helps you "look before you leap" and be well-prepared for the transition ahead. You'll learn key information that will help you enter self-employment with greater confidence and awareness.

  • Take an individual assessment to learn about your areas of strength and challenge for the world of self-employment.
  • Develop a transition plan and timeline to move from where you are now (fulltime job, unemployed, or another career) to your new path in of self-employment.

(3 sessions) An overview of the critical country-specific topics involved in powerfully establishing a professional and stable foundation for your coaching business. Separate modules will be offered specific to the US and to Canada. Topics include:
